Here’s one for you- a message sent to me via a popular expat message board:

Shoe Tuesday

Bangkok was full of crazy shoes. Shoes of every possible style and hue.

I’d show them all to you now, but then where would that leave me during the traditional Shoe drought of February 4th – March 12th?

Rumours that these are what Spongebob Squarepants wears for his ladyboy show are so far uncomfirmed.

Humping Dog

This was my housewarming gift from Dingle.

The packaging says you’re only allowed to leave it running for 1 hour, but it’s easy to lose track of time when you’re watching a dog hump your laptop.

I’ve written to the manufacturers to suggest that a 60 minute timer is added to version 2.0.

Easy Rider

Outside the Airport area's Post Office

This guy is one of the cowboy taxis (山寨出租车?) that ferry people around the airport area- they’re shady fellas these, would steal the moustache right off your face.

Moving house

Picked up the keys to my new home yesterday, in these credit crunch times I’m having to move somewhere a little cheaper (still in Jing-An though, obviously!).

I’m moving to a lane house (not an apartment) where I’ll sleep at street level- maybe I should get some ear plugs for the new year fireworks, it’s going to be a lot noisier than the 35th floor apartment where I am now.

No fireworks whilst you're filling up your car please.

A Petrol Station, yesterday

On the upside, I’ll be further away from the petrol station in this photo. It’s only going to take one stray firecracker for that place to blow up- warning sign or no warning sign.
