Things you can’t do in England

It is, however, something you CAN do in Vietnam
Well there you go! One would think you’d reconsider!
Amen. And it’s things like this that make China so exciting….
I once saw this taking place in the middle of Jinshajiang Lu at rush hour except that the ladder was too short and the guy couldn’t reach the overhead wires. The problem was soon solved when the man holding the ladder waved over another worker bloke and the two of them lifted the ladder clean off the ground with another bloke at the top of it.
I’ve done this.
Middle of Hua Shan Lu and Chang Shou lu @ 3am, back in the days when we had 2 places, within 50 metres of each other.
Of course being civilised we did swing our network cabling on there by tying it to coke bottles and throwing the bottles up and around the existing wires.
Was quite hilarious* having 2 people holding a ladder up to nowhere and someone climbing up.
*As in oh lordy, am I going to die, when this falls over backwards.
Being China of course, our quick cable tie job got redone a few weeks later by the government in their impromptu “lets tidy up the cabling” effort, which was quite nice.
Whoa! That looks very dangerous, hehe but I guess they are trained professionals!
