A parcel has turned up for one of the guys at work. For the life of us we can’t work out what the heck it is, and the guy’s away from his desk right now.
A vase? Three rolled up issues of Vanity Fair end-to-end? A huge hairclip?
All work has stopped as 45 engineers stand around trying to solve this impossible problem.

It looks about the size of a computer keyboard, so my guess is that it’s a computer keyboard, the bit that sticks out on the right is a stand for a parrot, you put the keyboard at the edge of the desk and that bit overhangs.
I can’t think what it is but I’m sure he’ll be bowled over by it.
It may be a cricket batt (i dont know the exact spelling, my bad)? Sorry, its just a stereotype that we french have about English people…

Could be a cricket bat. But more likely, it’s the remote control to one of those large titantron Television sets, with built-in soda & hotdog dispenser.
I’m going to “declare” that it’s the urn that contains the Ashes, but my batting average at these types of “tests” hasn’t been too good. Okay, can’t chat any longer as tonight I’m having a maiden over.
