Sh** T***day
<cue Shoe Tuesday music>
(it’s been a while hasn’t it?)
First up are a pair of furry high heels.
These were for sale in an enormous shop on Fuxing Lu. Don’t ask me for the full address, or how much the shoes were; I stormed out in a rage after the lady there suggested I try on a pair of 38 inch shorts.
Thirty eight inches?! On my slender frame?! I should have burnt the place to the ground!
Anyhoo Emma tried them on but decided were ever-so-slightly too small.
Next up is a dapper young lady (can women be “dapper”?) I saw at the airport. She was striding ahead of me in this whole 101 Dalmatians style outfit so I had to run ahead of her, wait at the entrance to the Maglev, then get her as she swanned past me.
I bet she’s a nightmare girlfriend, but the spotty shoes and skirt are cool.
May the record show that I managed to publish the above photo without making a
“And here’s one I SPOTTED earlier“
type pun your honour.
Shoe Tuesday out.

You know I’ve often wondered what became of Tommy’s mother and seeing those fur heels, the mystery has finally been solved.
And whose enormous feet are trying on those petite furry heels? Cinderella?? Not! But they look ridiculous anyway…
Love the spotty outfit though :)
You should have asked for her number – I know a very naughty dog she could skin for his fur
WoAi- they did feel Tommy-like, maybe I should get the address so he can visit
Ponzonia- to be fair, the shoes were around a US size 3, children’s shoes basically.
Colin- so very fickle, you’d regret it you know
Yeah Shoe Tuesday!
I saw some truly fierce footwear on subway the other day but wished a) I got a better camera phone, b) I was skillful enough to take photos subtly without getting slapped in the face cuz that lady looks quite scary and no way I can beat her down.
You never got into trouble snapping pictures? Or you are hiding some bruises there?
creepy outfit, so incredibly tacky it makes me want to vomit all over her.
Queenofmean- I’ve never really gotten into trouble, China is a good country to do this stuff in. Korea, not so much.
On the subway it’s good to wait until you’re pulling into a station- everyone is distracted then. Also after you take the photo, look angry and disappointed at the result, like there’s something wrong with your camera / phone.
Shopgirl- i thought you might like that one, it looks expensive at least!
I’m finally getting round to buying some Feiyue daps maybe today or it could be tomorrow.
I love Shanghai fashion – for chicks at least – I notice the ‘Cheap Hollywood Hooker’ look is back in vogue this year. Next year I predict the ‘Tired & Jaded Ex-Porn Star’ look will be very big in Shanghai.
