Digital cameras are great when the days are short and the sun isn’t out very much, but if I know it’s going to be sunny for the length of time it takes me to get through a roll of film, I’d rather use that.

Sunday I went out with a crappy plastic camera I bought recently- a Miranda Solo Panorama.

And when I say crappy, I mean crappy. It cost about 4 quid (40RMB) from ebay, and that included the postage.

I’ve bought jars of Marmalade that were more expensive.

The quirk with this camera is that it’s supposed to be panoramic- that long wide letter box view you see in movies.

GEEK FACT- it’s not actually a real panoramic at all (they cost a bomb) but a normal 35mm with a wide lens (this chap reckons as wide as 20mm) and a mask to give the panoramic effect.

Enough jibber-jabber, let’s see how the pictures turned out from a day walking around in the sunshine (the slideshow works best if you move your mouse pointer out of the day, click on any image you like to see a larger view).

[For anyone who can't see anything up there, I've tacked the images on to the end of this post.]

Not bad, not bad.
