T-T-T-T-Timelapse!
We haven’t had one of these for a while, and I like them even if you might not.
It’s the sunset over my neck of the woods, with a Sun Jar in the foreground. The idea of the Sun Jar is that when it’s light, the solar cell stores the energy, and when it gets dark, an LED spits that energy back into a warm soothing glow.
It’s a canny gadget which I bought it from the same place as the beauty nose clip, at People’s Square station.
But does it work? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.

neat! i’ve been playing with the idea of getting one from taobao. one question, how long does it stay lit (after staying out for the day)?
Well mine seems to stay lit for about 30 minutes, I think I must be doing something wrong (or it’s broken) :-(
That link says that they need a rechargeable AA battery- maybe that’s the problem with mine!
All I can see is a black square…. did you leave the lens cap on?
should have fixed that now- is anyone else getting a home page of the 22nd August?

i was going to comment on the 22nd august homepage – i usually follow your blog through the rss feed but just now i typed the url directly and it took me to that date. strange.
Wow, this video blows me away! And The Sea and Cake sounds just perfect!
that was a col time lapse . . . get that AAA battery james and maybe you’ll get a couple hours’ worth of light out of the sun jar – that way it’ll show up as more than 2 seconds on the next time lapse! =)

just wondering, how much did the sun jar cost in china? it’s over 30 usd on thinkgeek….
Can’t remember how much the sun jar was, but not much less than 30USD I seem to remember. Seems a lot for a Mason Jar and a couple of electronic scraps.
