Seagull at the airport
I got my first photos back from the Seagull camera I bought a few weeks ago.
Using a special magic wide-angle lens (17mm!), here are some photos taken of Shanghainese people and a Shanghai built airport by a Shanghai camera with a Shanghai lens (by a bloke from Doncaster).

The mascot for the 2010 Expo, Haibo looks like a big dopey toothpaste advert.

Some of the lovely people who helped make this whole airport software thing happen

The outside of the terminal. Ain’t it pretty?

Li Jian Wei, one of the manager types on our team.
Maybe more words later, I’m off for lunch now.
Having allot of stuff to finish at work within the next 5 minutes, I started to mouse-roll over the first two pictures. First a giant totem for the toothpaste god Gilletos (wow, I’m not the only one that thinks it’a toothpaste ad) and the second with the smiling geeks picture. Disturbing. It’s like playing a Beatles record backwards. It’s like they are all connected somehow. The people, the toothpaste, the people, the toothpaste, the p… brrr.
Well, at least it’s not a Darlie toothpaste ad.
Like the exterior night shot … good angles.
Do you ever feel that by writing this blog, you are indirectly condoning the genocide in Darfur? Because I do.
So let me get this straight. A blog about the workaday happenings in Shanghai means tacit approval of Chinese government policy in Sudan?
Does a blog about eating Noodles in Los Angeles represent a promotion of the Bush/Neo-Con agenda in Iraq? A transportation blog in Bangkok condones sex traffickers? A list of notable bookstores in Amsterdam equals approval of the heroin trade?
Of course!
Actually, the name of the toothpaste ad. is HAIBAO, meaning the tresure of the sea.
Funny, ya?
Yes, I agree. It’s really funny!
why does the woman in the photo have that look on her face?
the mascot looks like Gumby.
Look at Jame’s stance, Angie - he’s clearly just let one go.
liam, i’m in class and you just made me laugh out loud. (my classmates already think i’m nuts . . . my random giggling just solidifies that notion!)
So you did get the 17mm lens after all! well done, the pictures look great - my favourite is the terminal by night
