I got a haircut last night, as I went in the receptionist pointed to a wall showing various photographs of Kajagoogoo haircuts I could choose from, after pointing and sniggering for a couple of minutes with Weijia we noticed that the staff were looking confused and explained that these were actually the hairdressers and I needed to pick the one I wanted to cut my hair.

God knows what they rubbed into my hair instead of gel at the end, it stunk of domestos though.

All my barbers (or should I say hair stylists) look like this. But everyone who goes to my barber shop (or should I say salon) gets really simple haircuts.

It’s weird, because they only charge 20 RMB per cut.

Team haircuts are definitely the way to go. JC, you should convince everyone in your office to go for a team-do, should make a nice blog entry, a pic of the whole team with the trademark Swiss James high fringe.

Owen- if you vote, you see the results- I don’t know any better than anyone else (unless it’s written in Chinee in which case someone might spot it).

dingle- you have some funny ideas you do. I’m sure you and your army of plastic robots march off for team haircuts every other day of the week, but some of us have work to do.

I’m all in favour of Dingle’s team haircuts! I have been training mine to look like Swiss for months but I just can’t seem to get my hairline that far back on my head!

Dingle, it is wax, they use wax instead of gel or mouse like normal barbers in the U.S.
I was unforunate to get a cut and couldn’t wait until I went back to the U.S. but I brought my own gel from home that day, told them to stop immediately after the cut was done and I did my own hair w/ the gel, they were amazed and shocked where they thought I used some government secret enzyme to gel it up…..

Can’t tell. Photo shop something up with him/her carrying your manbag and I’ll have a go (although is there a hint of stubble on the chin?)
But why the burning question? You’re in China, isn’t that sort of thing illegal?
