So here is my brother Andy getting married to Sharon in Ireland. The last time I went to a wedding was my sister’s 12 years ago, but I had such a great time that I wish my family got married every week.
My best man speech seemed to go down pretty well; I think those things can tred a fine line between offensive and cheeky, unless it’s the one I wrote which was just straight offensive. The band were a lot of fun, there was an irish dancing demonstration (it turns out that proper irish dancing is a lot less smug than that Riverdance foolishness), the booze was flowing like the river Liffey and I slid across the dancefloor on my knees without ruining my suit.
The happy couple are in New York City now on their honeymoon, enjoying ice skating at the Rockerfeller Center, carriage rides through Central Park, and the weak dollar.
